These classes start by developing necessary skills such as listening, taking turns and movement, to prepare your lil' one for dance classes in the future. In these classes your child will progressively work toward basic ballet technique and vocabulary. Lil' Movers/Lil' Dancers will perform in our end of year recital. Mom & You is a movement and dance prep class and will not be in the performances. Basic ballet attire and pink ballet shoes are required for these classes.
The Recreation Company

Recreational classes are offered in 45-90 minute sessions once a week.We offer Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop & Contemporary, taught at levels from beginner to advanced. Students will have 1-2 dances to perform at our year end show. Ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical will need the corresponding shoes- pink ballet, black tap and tan jazz. Fitted dancewear is required except for Hip Hop where you may wear any fitness, dance or work-out clothing and indoor sneakers. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the studio spaces.
Pre-Competitive/ Performing Team
Our Pre-Competitive teams are for the student who wants more than the traditional recreational class but does not want the commitment required of the teams who attend "Out-of-State" Competitions. Students take 2 classes per week which span from 1.5-3 hours. These students perform at local events and participate in one or two local competitions at the team's discretion.
The Competition Experience
Our competition team students dance a minimum of 3.5 hours a week which include classes in Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Other genres are available as add-on classes. Events where our teams have performed are: The Giant Pumpkin Regatta, Dance Showcase to benefit Puppets in Education, the opening ceremony for the Special Olympics, Festival of Trees, First Night Burlington, Harlem Globetrotters, Relay for Life, and in local nursing homes to name a few. These teams travel to compete at regional and national competitions such as "Leap for the Stars", "Turn it Up', "Groove", "Elite Dance Competition", "Diva Dance Competition", and "Take Center Stage Dance Competition".
